The bulk of our events happen between April (as weather and snow conditions permit) and October. Don't worry if you don't see any events outside of those dates, our calendar will fill up as the weather improves. (Most people don't like to hike in the rain)
OutVentures typically slows down in the winter, occasional movie nights or snowshoe events will be posted.
Early in the season, day-hikes will typically pop up a few days out as weather permits. Later in the season, hikes will generally be posted a week or more in advance...but can still pop-up as weather and the mood strikes.
The best way to get notice of new events is to sign up, as every time a trip is posted you will get a email notification.
07/26 - Hike to Watson Lakes and Anderson...14 of us drove up to the Mt Baker area and hiked to a couple of lakes in a dramatic setting with waterfalls cascading down from the surrounding cliffs and the rugged snow-covered peaks above.
07/20 - Cornet Bay Overnight34 enjoyed the spacious grounds at Cornet Bay Environmental Learning Center
07/10 - Hike Noble Knob 7/918 of us hiked along a beautiful high ridge just outside Mt Rainier NP, and were delighted by a profusion of wildflowers with Rainier rising above and many other peaks visible as well.
07/05 - Hike Crystal Peak 7/212 of us did the fairly strenuous hike up Crystal Peak in Mt Rainier NP and were rewarded with close-up views of Rainier, the other 4 volcanoes in WA, and Mt Hood in OR, with fields of wildflowers at peak along the way.
05/30 - Hike Iron Bear to Teanaway Ridge...15 of us and two dogs took advantage of an exceptionally beautiful Memorial Day weekend and hiked the Iron Bear trail up on to the Teanaway Ridge, with lots of wildflowers and nice views of the Stuart Range and Mt Rainier.
